PGA teaching professional and one of Golf Digest’s “Best Young Teachers in America

Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher to Watch

Nathalie Sheehan is a PGA teaching professional and one of Golf Digest’s “Best Young Teachers in America” for both 2023–2024 and 2025–2026. Known for her engaging and approachable teaching style, Nathalie has become a respected voice in the game through her work on the Golf Channel and as an on-air coach during The PGA Championship for ESPN.

She currently serves as the Director of Women’s Golf and Teaching Professional at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, where she works with players of all levels to develop a deeper understanding of the game and build lasting confidence on the course.

Nathalie’s career has been shaped by mentorship from some of the most respected instructors in golf, including her husband, Justin Sheehan — a Golf Digest Best in State instructor and Best Young Teacher in America who coaches several LPGA Tour players. In addition to her teaching, Nathalie is a sought-after brand ambassador and content creator who continues to share her perspective on the modern game.

her philosophy

Nathalie believes that golf should feel both rewarding and accessible. While the game is rooted in tradition, the way players learn and experience it continues to evolve.

Her philosophy centers on simplifying the game so players can build confidence, consistency, and enjoyment on the course. Nathalie focuses on helping golfers understand the fundamentals in a clear and practical way, allowing them to develop a swing that feels natural and repeatable.

At its core, she believes golf is meant to be enjoyed. Whether through personal improvement, time spent outdoors, or the relationships and experiences the game creates along the way.

her approach

Guiding golfers with clarity, confidence, and simplicity.

Nathalie’s coaching style is thoughtful, encouraging, and highly personalized. She recognizes that every golfer arrives with a different background, skill level, and set of goals, and she tailors each lesson to meet players where they are in their journey.

Rather than overwhelming students with technical jargon, Nathalie focuses on clear communication, simple adjustments, and building confidence through repetition and understanding. By combining traditional coaching principles with modern tools and technology, she helps players see measurable progress while maintaining a relaxed and supportive learning environment.

Her goal is simple: to help golfers feel comfortable, capable, and excited about improving their game.
